YouTube Investigation Warns Parents on Video Content

New York, NY (PRWEB) March 5, 2006

Splashing into fountains or pools on a whim as lovers or children do, or removing your shoes in public may not seem reason enough to grab a video camera and click 'record,' unless the filmmaker's eye has a motive and is a registered user on popular video hosting website YouTube.com.

To some viewers, the ever clich? "children playing in water on a hot day" scene is fair game for fetish websites. Same too for a man resting his 'dogs' on a public park bench after a hard day's work...voyeurs are watching with mini-cams rolling in order to share your experience with their fetish communities online.

Think & Ask online news published a two-part investigation, which found both hard-core pornography and fetish videos on YouTube, despite their corporate policy banning pornography and offensive content. Videos found were available for free to anyone of any age with Internet access.

In the first of Think & Ask's two part series: "Fetish Videos Land on Family Entertainment Website YouTube," we captured what videos were available by keyword and detailed which fetish and pornography websites linked to videos on YouTube. http://www.thinkandask.com/2006/022706-youtube.html

For the second part: "YouTube Pulls Some Pornography, Bans Children 'Under 13'," we update readers on what measures YouTube placed on its audience, ahead of company plans to secure its second round of capital funding. http://www.thinkandask.com/news/030206-utube2.html
